There are times when you are alone and feel unsure about how to spend your time. Many unfortunate people fall into depression because of boredom.
Main reasons for boredom are :
- Mental fickleness
- lack of creativity
- Living in an unfavorable environment.
We can not make excuse of being alone as the reason of getting bored. We need to find the cause of the problem. It lies within not outside. If you really find yourself unable to spend time with yourself, then you need to do something about it.
There is so much to do that it is really impossible to feel bored. There are lots of activities you can do to fight this, which you must do if you need to. But that is a short-term solution. Instead, you must find ways to permanently end the boredom.
You should be so mentally strong that you are not perturbed by loneliness. You should start self-improvement immediately if you feel loneliness when alone. This will not only help you to overcome boredom but you will find it such a thrilling and adventurous experience.
Boredom makes people addicts.
Boredom makes you waste your precious time.
Boredom can get you into depression.
But boredom can be a blessing in disguise as new ideas arise from solitude.
Take a moment to think about saints and those spiritual souls. They spend most of their time in meditation and doing religious activities.
Look at the missionaries who are fully devoted to doing the selfless service. Will they ever feel bored?
Think about writers, scientists, thinkers, intellectuals, sportsmen and other creative personalities.
They are the people who never get bored because they have a worthwhile goal. Instead of getting bored, they prefer to find time for solitude because that is when they get their ideas and find mental peace. Your goals keep you mentally involved.
Boredom is basically the lack of excitement. You need to find some activity that gives you excitement.
Here are some suggestions which will help you to cut boredom completely from your life.
- Fall in love with yourself.
- Start your self-improvement program.
- Set goals & start taking action.
- Develop the habits of reading good books or blogs and listening to audio programs.
- Get involved in some social cause.
- Travel. Go out and see great places.
- Meet new people. Have a social network.
- Housewives who are not so busy in raising children should indulge in creative pursuits and not watching TV serials.
